Great activity for the first day of school! Simply cut out the items, attach tape, sticky tack or velcro to the back and have the children place the items in the school bag. This activity can be done individually by students or as a whole class activity. Print out multiple copies for larger classes or laminate for years and years of use! Short 'u' CVC Word Activity This fun classroom activity is designed to help students learn short 'u' CVC words in a fun and interactive way. The activity revolves around having the students recognize real words and not real words. Included in the packet is a list of real CVC words and fake 'Trash' words with no meaning. The students must sort the words into the Treasure box or the Trash bin. Print one for each student, one for a whole class activity, or print for small groups.
